{{Yu Yu Zhong Cheng}}

Ten thousand qing of desolate forest dares not to watch, (qǐng / 顷 is a unit of area, approximately 6.6 hectares)

Retiring from the public and settling in a narrow space, intending to seek peace.

Miscalculation in the rural area and all wild land lost,

Where is the spring breeze to plant the cymbidium (boat orchids)?

Yǔ Yú Zhōng Chéng

(Wàn qǐng huāng lín bù gǎn kàn)

(Mǎi shān róng zú nǐ qiú ān)

(Tián yuán shī jì quán wú méi)

(Hé chǔ chūn fēng zhǒng huì lán)

There is very little, pretty much none, information on this poem, so I apologise for the lack of details. I’m also not too sure on the name of poem, so resorted to leaving it in pinyin.

Whilst it is often included in lists of poems about orchids (one of the four gentlemen flowers 四君子 extremely famous and a classic favourite in Chinese culture and arts), there are also some who say this is a poem that reflects the situation of the Tang Dynasty at the time.
